More Than a Ceremony—
A Tradition

Beginning a legacy that has endured for more than a century, Commencement has grown into one of the university’s most meaningful traditions. Today, thousands of Wildcats fill the stadium, surrounded by tens of thousands of family members and friends.

Each ceremony reflects the growth of our university and the strength of the Wildcat community — generations of graduates united by a shared milestone and a future full of possibility.

A Legacy Through the Years

From humble beginnings with our first graduating class of four, to our years at McKale Memorial Center, and now at Casino Del Sol Stadium, the University of Arizona has built one of the most admired Commencement experiences in the country.

What began as a modest gathering is now one of Arizona’s proudest traditions — yet our focus remains the same: celebrating every Wildcat. Commencement honors the determination that brought you here and marks the moment you step forward to shape what comes next.
