You’ve worked and waited for this moment—be sure you're all set to participate by checking with your college or department for graduation approval. We can’t wait to honor you!

Graduating is dependent upon you meeting all degree requirements and approval of coursework from your college or department.
August candidates will be listed in the program for the preceding May. December candidates, whose degrees have been awarded, will be listed in the following Spring program.
The program for May 2023 will contain the names of the following degree recipients and applicants: Fall 2022/Winter 2022 (awarded), Spring 2023 (applied), Summer 2023 (applied).
Note: All graduation application deadlines must be met and FERPA name restrictions released for printing consideration.

Graduation Checklist
Students will not have graduated from the University of Arizona if degree requirements have not been met, even if they participate in a college Convocation or Commencement ceremony. Be sure to reach out to your advisor with questions, and click below for more info.
Undergraduate Students: Stay in touch with your academic advisor to ensure you are on track to graduate by checking your degree plan. Graduation Services Advisors are responsible for the audit of each undergraduate student's coursework to ensure all university policies have been followed and all university requirements for the student's degree have been met.
Graduate Students: Before a graduate degree or certificate can be approved, all required GradPath forms must be submitted and fully approved. Please stay in touch with your academic advisor to ensure you are on track to graduate. Graduate College Degree Counselors are responsible for the audit of each graduate student's coursework to ensure all university policies have been followed and all university requirements for the student's degree have been met. Professional Students: Reach out to your Graduation Services Advisor with any questions.
Undergraduate Students: Apply for degree candidacy in your UAccess Student Center. Spring and Summer graduates have a deadline of February 1st of the intended semester and Fall and Winter graduates have a deadline of September 1st of the intended semester. A $50 application fee will apply, and a $50 Late Candidacy Application will be applied for late applications. For questions, please contact your Graduation Services Advisor.
Graduate Students: If your expected graduation term in UAccess is not correct, please email your Degree Counselor to let them know your new expected graduation term.
Professional Students: Reach out to your Graduation Services Advisor with any questions.
Undergraduate Students: After submitting the application for degree candidacy, degree candidates must contact and meet with their Academic Advisor to initiate the Degree Audit Worksheet (DAW). The DAW is a form required by Graduation Services, which will communicate your plan to complete your final degree requirements. This form must be completed by your advisors and returned to your Graduation Services Advisor.
Graduate Students: Please regularly check your University of Arizona email for important communications regarding final steps for your degree. Refer to Steps to Your Degree for more information.
Professional Students: Reach out to your Graduation Services Advisor with any questions.
Ensure your diploma address in UAccess is correct so your diploma is delivered to the right place. You can expect to receive your diploma approximately 2-3 weeks after your degree is posted.
GradFest makes getting ready for graduation easy and convenient, bringing all of your grad and post-grad needs into one event that celebrates not only your academic accomplishments, but your exciting venture into the workforce and your successes in the years to come! Stop by the Bookstore between March 21 and 23 to pick up your cap and gown and other graduation items.
Commencement is the university-wide ceremony honoring you! The RSVP goes live in mid-March on this website; keep an eye out for an email notification. For questions about RSVPing, please contact us at commencement@arizona.edu.
Convocations are department- or college-specific ceremonies in a more intimate setting. Each ceremony is different, but students often have the opportunity to cross the stage and hear their name called. For more information, please reach out to the point of contact for your ceremony.
