We Want to Celebrate You

You’ve worked and waited for this moment—be sure you're all set to participate by checking with your college or department for graduation approval. We can’t wait to honor you!

Graduating is dependent upon you meeting all degree requirements and approval of coursework from your college or department.

August candidates will be listed in the program for the preceding May. December candidates, whose degrees have been awarded, will be listed in the following Spring program.

Note: All graduation application deadlines must be met and FERPA name restrictions released for printing consideration.

Students who graduate in December have the option to participate in either the Commencement Ceremony prior to or following their expected graduation date. You cannot participate twice.

Apply for Graduation

Students will not have graduated from the University of Arizona if degree requirements have not been met, even if they participate in a college Convocation or Commencement ceremony. Be sure to reach out to your advisor with questions, and click below for more info.

Stay in touch with your academic advisor to ensure you are on track to graduate. Graduation Services Advisors are responsible for the audit of each undergraduate student's coursework to ensure all university policies have been followed and all university requirements for the student's degree have been met.

Apply for degree candidacy in your UAccess Student Center.  Spring and Summer graduates have a deadline of February 1st of the intended semester and Fall and Winter graduates have a deadline of September 1st of the intended semester. A $50 application fee will apply, and a $50 Late Candidacy Application will be applied for late applications.

After submitting the application for degree candidacy, degree candidates must contact and meet with their Academic Advisor to initiate the Degree Audit Worksheet (DAW). The DAW is a form required by Graduation Services, which will communicate your plan to complete your final degree requirements. This form must be completed by your advisors and returned to your Graduation Services Advisor.

Ensure your diploma address in UAccess is correct so your diploma is delivered to the right place. You can expect to receive your diploma approximately 2-3 weeks after your degree is posted.
