Graduation Checklist
Below are the basics, and here are some fun extras:
1. Make sure you are eligible
Check the eligibility page for requirements that pertain to your degree (bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral). Students will not have graduated from the University of Arizona if degree requirements have not been met, even if they participate in a college Convocation or Commencement ceremony. Be sure to reach out to your advisor with questions. See more information on the Eligibility page.
2. Get Your Regalia from the Bookstore
Regalia and all other graduation items can be purchased year-round at the Bookstore. GradFest is held twice a year, in the fall and spring, and makes getting ready for graduation easy and convenient, as your one-stop destination for graduation essentials. The 2024 spring GradFest has passed.
3. RSVP for your graduation ceremonies
Commencement is the university-wide ceremony on Friday, May 10 in Arizona Stadium. The RSVP goes live in mid-March and you will be emailed a notification. For questions about RSVPing, please contact us at commencement@arizona.edu.
Convocations are department or college specific ceremonies. Each one is different, and students often have the opportunity to cross the stage and hear their name called. For dates and contact information visit our Convocations page.
4. Bear Down, Give Back
Make your Class Gift of $20.24 to celebrate graduation and leave your legacy! You can support your college, scholarships like the Greek Legacy Endowment, the library, athletics or almost anything you want. You can make your gift any time before Commencement. Learn more and give today at crowdfund.arizona.edu/ClassGift.
5. Receive your diploma
Diplomas are sent approximately 2-3 weeks after your degree is posted. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
Ensure your diploma address in UAccess is correct so your diploma is delivered to the right place.
