Game-day rules are enforced at Commencement. All guests must abide by the UA's clear bag policy for entry into the stadium. No outside containers, large bags, backpacks, or parcels will be permitted. All in-hand items must be placed in the appropriate and approved clear bag. Please visit the UA BookStores website to purchase one today!
Those who are unable to attend or choose to stay home for the ceremony may stream the event live via Arizona Public Media.
Convocations are the ceremonies each individual college and/or department organizes to honor their graduates. In most cases, the student's name is read aloud and they proceed across a stage. Commencement is the university-wide celebration all colleges attend, where the students' degrees are conferred by the UA President.
*August candidates will be listed in the Commencement program for the preceding May. December/Winter candidates, whose degrees have been awarded, will be listed in the following Spring Commencement program.
Example: the program for this May 2017 will contain the names of: December 2016/Winter 2016 (awarded), May 2017 (applied), August 2017 (applied)
Parking is available in all garages and surface lots. Please visit here for more information regarding parking and travel.
The ceremony is projected to be 90-120 minutes long, from start to finish.
Photographers will be available near the assembly area.
